Being a dad or carer to a child with disabilities needs can be isolating. The appointments, the advocacy, the sleepless nights – it’s a lot to carry. And too often, dads are expected to just get on with it. Dads Behaving Madly exists because we’ve been there. We know what it’s like to feel alone in a waiting room, to struggle explaining your child’s needs, to need a space where you don’t have to explain anything at all.
We’re not therapists. We’re not professionals. We’re just dads who get it – and we’ve created something special together on the Yorkshire Coast, Monthly breakfast meet-ups, informal chats, and a WhatsApp community where you can connect with dads who truly understand. From wood-fired saunas and sea dips to yoga, sound baths, and foraging walks – activities designed to help you reset and recharge. Beach days, festivals, and family-friendly events where your whole crew is welcome – additional needs and all.
